The content of ezyPrint printed labels is very small

Do this troubleshooting when:
  • The text of printed labels is very small
  • The text of printed labels has an incorrect location on the label
Tip: For examples of printed label output and related settings, refer to Examples of printed output from ezyPrint.

The paper orientation setting of the printer is set to portrait

Change the paper orientation setting to landscape

To change the orientation, do these steps.
Note: The images that follow use Windows 10 and a DYMO LabelWriter 450 as an example. If you use a different version of Windows or a different printer, refer to your product documentation if necessary.
  1. Get access to the Windows printer properties of the applicable printer.

  2. Select Advanced.

  3. Select Printing Defaults.

  4. Select Layout.

  5. Set Orientation to Landscape.

The labels have a size that is not compatible

The paper in the label printer is not compatible with:
  • The paper size setting of the printer
  • The width and height values of the ezyVet label template

Do a check of the paper size settings

Note: The images that follow use Windows 10 and a DYMO LabelWriter 450 as an example. If you use a different version of Windows or a different printer, refer to your product documentation if necessary.
  1. Get access to the Windows printer properties of the applicable printer.

  2. Select Advanced.

  3. Select Printing Defaults.

  4. Select Advanced.

  5. Do a check of the Paper Size setting and make sure that it uses the same paper size that is in the printer.

  6. If necessary, make sure that the paper size in the printer uses the same width and height as the applicable label template in ezyVet.

The ezyVet label template has incorrect margin values

Try different margin values

To try different margin values, do these steps.
Tip: Before you continue, do the troubleshooting given here.
Important: Before you continue, make a copy of the template and do the changes in the copy. If the result in the copy of the template is correct, then do the same changes in the initial template.
  1. Open the configuration of the applicable ezyVet label template.
  2. Refer to this image for the location of the margin settings:

  3. Try these values for each margin:
    • Label Margin Top: 1
    • Label Margin Left: 1
    • Label Margin Right: 0
    • Label Margin Bottom: 0
  4. Select Save, then do a test print.

The ezyVet label template has an incorrect font size

Try a different font size

  2. Refer to this image for the location of the font size setting:

  4. Select Save, then do a test print.
