An ezyPrint printer prints blank labels

The printer has a general problem

Restart the printer and do driver checks

Restart the printer.

Make sure that your computer has the most recent printer drivers installed. If necessary, download the drivers from the printer company's website or speak to your IT staff.

Restart your computer and restart the printer.

Make sure that your computer has the most recent software updates.

The printer does not have approved labels installed

Some printers must have approved labels installed to operate correctly. For example, DYMO LabelWriter 450 printers can have printing problems if you do not use approved labels with the DYMO brand.

Use only approved labels with the printer

If necessary, refer to your printer documentation for more information.

Clear the Enable advanced printing features setting

To clear the setting, do these steps.

Note: The images that follow use Windows 10 and a DYMO LabelWriter 450 as an example. If you use a different version of Windows or a different printer, refer to your product documentation if necessary.
  1. Get access to the Windows printer properties of the applicable printer.

  2. Select Advanced.

  3. Clear the Enable advanced printing features checkbox.

The paper orientation setting of the printer is set to portrait

Change the paper orientation setting to landscape

To change the orientation, do these steps.
Note: The images that follow use Windows 10 and a DYMO LabelWriter 450 as an example. If you use a different version of Windows or a different printer, refer to your product documentation if necessary.
  1. Get access to the Windows printer properties of the applicable printer.

  2. Select Advanced.

  3. Select Printing Defaults.

  4. Select Layout.

  5. Set Orientation to Landscape.

The printer uses a paper size setting that is different to the paper size settings of the applicable label template in ezyVet

Do a check of the paper size setting of the printer

To do a check, do these steps.

  1. Get access to the Windows printer properties of the applicable printer.

  2. Select Advanced.

  3. Select Printing Defaults.

  4. Select Advanced.

  5. Do a check of the Paper Size setting and make sure that it uses the same paper size as the applicable label template in ezyVet.

The printer settings use an incorrect data type setting

Do a check of the data type setting

To do a check, do these steps.

  1. Get access to the Windows printer properties of the applicable printer.

  2. Select Advanced.

  3. Select Print Processor.

  4. Make sure that Default data type is set to RAW.

The ezyPrint integration has an incorrect Rotate setting

Select a different Rotate setting, then do a check of the printed labels

You use a Zebra label printer but the Windows printer configuration does not have the necessary setting

  1. Open the Windows printer settings of the Zebra printer.
  2. Find and select the Always use drivers settings setting.
