The Xero Management dashboard tab

After ezyVet customer support enables the Xero module, the Dashboard primary tab shows the Xero Management dashboard tab. Use the Xero Management dashboard tab to show and make changes to the records that ezyVet syncs to Xero (for example, invoice records).

The record types that the Xero Management dashboard tab shows include:
To show different record types, use the Record Type setting:

Record filters of the Xero Management dashboard tab

The Xero Management dashboard tab has many filters that you can use to show different types of information. For example, use the filters to show:
  • Records of a date range that you synced to Xero
  • Different record types that you synced to Xero

Record filters

The filters include a Sync Status section. The section shows a setting for each sync status that a record could have. Thus, you can use each setting as a filter to show records that have the have related sync status.

This table shows each setting of the Sync Status section and its function:
SettingFunction
Not ReadySelect Not Ready to show all records that are not prepared to sync to Xero.
Ready to SyncSelect Ready to Sync to show all records that are prepared to sync to Xero.
SyncedSelect Synced to show all records that are synced to Xero.
ReconciledSelect Reconciled to show all records that:
  • You did not sync to Xero
  • You identified as reconciled
FailedSelect Failed to show all records that ezyVet could not sync to Xero.
RetryingSelect Retrying to show all records that you prepared to sync to Xero again.
Do Not SyncSelect Do Not Sync to show all records that you do not want to sync to Xero.
Each record that you use the filters to show includes this information:
  • The record type
  • The client contact record that is related to the record
  • The date that you made the record
  • The total dollar value of the record
  • The dollar quantity of the record that the client did not pay
  • The value of a payment that you made in Xero
  • The difference between the Amount column and the Xero Amount column
  • The sync status of the record
  • The Xero status of the record
  • Applicable error messages
  • If a staff member made the record in ezyVet or Xero
  • The date and time that a staff member made changes to the record
  • The name of the staff member that made changes to record

Tip: If you double-click a record, ezyVet shows the record in a new record tab.

Buttons that you can use to sync information with Xero

Each record that the Xero Management dashboard tab shows could show one or more buttons:

The table that follows shows each button and its function:

Select the Sync button to sync the applicable record to Xero.
The Check changes from Xero button
The Check changes from Xero button
Select the Check changes from Xero button to sync changes that you made to the record in Xero to ezyVet.
The View in Xero button
The View in Xero button
Select the View in Xero button to open the applicable record in Xero.

Troubleshooting with the Xero Management dashboard tab

If ezyVet cannot sync a record to Xero, the Xero Management dashboard tab shows an error message. And if you hover over the applicable record, ezyVet shows a pop-up window with information that includes:
  • The status of the record
  • The error message

The pop-up window helps you to quickly and easily read important information about why ezyVet could not sync the record to Xero.
