How Vet Radar automatically calculates a medication's dosage information

You can add a medication to a patient sheet. If a practice manager configured the medication in ezyVet, Vet Radar automatically enters the dosage information of the medication when you add it. As a result, staff can quickly and easily see the necessary dosage information.

Note: Dosage information is:
  • The dose rate of the medication
  • The total dosage of the medication
  • The total volume of the medication
  • The concentration of the medication
Vet Radar uses the settings of the medication in ezyVet to calculate the total dosage. If a practice manager configured the medication in ezyVet:
  • ezyVet automatically syncs the values in the Concentration section to the Concentration box in Vet Radar
  • ezyVet automatically syncs the values of the Default Dosage section to the Dose rate* box in Vet Radar
  • ezyVet automatically syncs the Default Administration method to the Route of administration box in Vet Radar

This image shows the dosage information that ezyVet syncs to Vet Radar:

Note: If you enable the CRI setting, Vet Radar does not show the synced dosage information from ezyVet:

Available units of measurement in ezyVet shows the units of measurement that are available in ezyVet. Vet Radar cannot calculate the medication's dosage information if a practice manager selects:
  • A unit of measurement of the second column and the third column of the table
  • Two different units of measurement of the third column of the table
Vet Radar can calculate the medication's dosage information if a practice manager selects:
  • One unit of measurement of the second column of the table
  • Two units of measurement of the second column of the table
  • One unit of measurement of the third column of the table

A practice manager configures a medication in ezyVet. When they configure the medication:
  1. They configure a medication concentration of 10 mg/ml
  2. They configure a dose rate to 0.2 mmol/kg
As a result:
  • Vet Radar cannot calculate the dosage information of the product
  • Vet Radar cannot show a value in the Dose rate* box
  • Vet Radar shows an error message:
