About custom medication products
A practice manager can make a custom medication product. You can use a custom medication product to schedule tasks for a product that you do not want to invoice to the client.
You can configure:
- The route of administration of the medication
- The concentration of the medication
- The diluted concentration of the medication
- The dose rate of the medication
A client admits Bucephalus to the veterinary practice for
a surgery. Bucephalus has a long-term prescription of Trazadone for anxiety. The client
bought the medication before the surgery. A nurse must continue to give the patient the
medication. The practice manager:
- Makes a custom medication with the name Trazadone(Bucephalus)
- Uses the Product type box to select Medication
- Sets the same dose rate and the concentration as the patient's prescribed medication
