Templates for care service reminders
During configuration of a communication task for care service reminders, a practice manager must select an applicable template. The template has the content and formatting for the reminder.
This table gives each information about how a communication task uses each template type:

| Phone templates | A communication task uses a phone template to automatically make text documents about care services. Staff use the text documents to record phone calls that they make to clients about care services. For example, if a care service is overdue, a staff member can make a phone call to the applicable client to tell them. When the phone call is completed, the staff member uses the phone template to record what they told the client. As a result, ezyVet keeps a permanent record of the call. |
- Uses the Communication Type box in the communication task settings to select a message type (for example, email or SMS)
- Uses the Template box that is adjacent to Communication Type to select a template type that is applicable to the message type
Example settings shows some communication task settings. Communication Type is set to Email. And the Template box has a selected email template for overdue vaccinations.
If you set Communication Type to Email, the communication task screen shows a Send With Attachments box. Use Send With Attachments to select file attachments that the communication task sends with each care service reminder.
Templates and template variables
Templates for care service reminders usually include template variables that are applicable to the standard-of-care system. The template variables show information that includes due or overdue vaccinations or treatments.
{AnimalVaccinationsOverdue} is one of the template variables that is in the template content. As a result, email messages for the care service reminder show overdue vaccinations.Configured templates for care service reminders
All ezyVet sites usually include a set of configured email templates and SMS templates for care service reminders. A practice manager can use the templates to quickly start to use care service reminders for their organization. And they can use the templates as an initial source for care service reminders that are more applicable to their organization.
