Configure a communication task to not send SMS messages

If a practice manager does not want a communication task to send SMS messages, they can use communication task settings to adjust or remove the applicable send method.

To change the communication task configuration, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.

  2. In the settings list, select Automated Tasks.

  3. Select Communication Tasks.

    The left sidebar shows the configured communication tasks of your site.
  4. Select the applicable communication task.
    ezyVet shows the communication task settings.
  5. If the communication task has many send methods and Communication Type of the first one is set to SMS:
    1. Change Communication Type of the first send method from SMS to a different setting (for example, Phone or Email).
    2. In the Template box of the first send method, select a template that is applicable to step (a).
    3. If the result is a send method that has the same settings as one other send method, remove the other send method.
    4. Select Save.
  6. If the communication task has many send methods and Communication Type of the first one is not set to SMS:
    1. Find the send method that has Communication Type set to SMS, then remove the send method.
    2. Select Save.
  7. If the communication task has only one send method and Communication Type is set to SMS:
    1. Change Communication Type to a different setting (for example, Phone or Email)
    2. In the Template box , select a template that is applicable to step (a).
    3. Select Save.
The communication task has the changes and it does not send SMS messages.
