About ezyVet SMS messages

Use ezyVet's short message service (SMS) features to send and receive SMS messages with clients and other persons.

Note: To use SMS messages, your ezyVet site must have an enabled SMS module. To enable the module, speak to ezyVet customer support.
Screen, records, and features that you use to send SMS messages from ezyVet include:
  • Contact records
  • Patient records
  • Clinical records
  • Financial records
  • The SMS Broadcast report
  • The dedicated SMS button that shows in all ezyVet screens

Note: If a client sends a reply to an initial SMS message of more than 30 days, they automatically receive a message that shows Message could not be sent as it is responding to a message older than 30 days. Please contact the veterinary practice directly.
Note: A client can send an SMS message to ezyVet only after they receive a related initial SMS message. A client cannot send an initial SMS message to ezyVet.
Note: You cannot use ezyVet to send or receive MMS messages. An MMS message can have images, audio, and video.

Maximum character numbers for SMS messages

Each SMS message that you send from ezyVet has a maximum of 159 characters. If you enter more than 159 characters while you prepare an SMS message, ezyVet automatically starts a new SMS message. ezyVet can send a maximum of three SMS messages at the same time. The three SMS messages have a total maximum of 455 characters.
