The error message that the Xero Management dashboard tab shows includes the incorrect tax type code in its output. For example, this error message shows an incorrect tax type of OUTPUT2:

Configure the correct tax type code

A practice manager or a person with the necessary administrator permissions must do these steps.

  1. Refer to Xero API documentation and make sure that you have the correct tax type code.
  2. Select Admin.

  3. In the settings list, select Financial.

  4. Select TAX Rates.

  5. Find and select the applicable tax rate record.

  6. Select Integration Settings.

  7. In the Xero Output Code box, enter the correct tax type code.
