If the Xero Management dashboard tab shows The specified contact details matched an archived contact. Archived contacts cannot currently be edited via the API, do this troubleshooting.

The error message

A staff member disabled the client contact record in Xero

Enable the client contact record in Xero

  1. Sign in to Xero.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Select Customers.
    Xero shows your client contact records.
  4. Select Archived.
    Xero shows the client contact records that you disabled.
  5. Find and select the applicable client contact record.
    Xero shows the settings of the client contact record.
  6. Select Restore.
    Xero shows the Restore Contact dialog box.
  7. Select Restore.
