Make an appointment

To make an appointment quickly and easily, use the calendar screen.

If the appointment is for a new client or a new patient, make a client contact record or a patient record.
To make an appointment, do this procedure.
Note: This procedure gives only some of the available settings of a new appointment.
  1. Select Dashboard.

  2. Select Calendar.

  3. Use the date selection area to select an applicable date for the new appointment.

  4. Adjacent to the date selection area, select the name of the applicable calendar.

  5. At the applicable time in the calendar area, select an area momentarily or drag over an area.
    Tip: If you select an area momentarily, ezyVet automatically sets the appointment time to the same value that a practice manager configured in the related appointment type. If you drag over an area, ezyVet sets the appointment time to the range that you dragged over.

  6. If necessary, use the Appointment Type box to change the appointment type.
  7. If necessary, use the Date box, Start Time box, and End Time box to make adjustments to the date and time.
  8. In the Client box, select the applicable client.
    Note: If the client that you select has one related patient, ezyVet automatically selects the patient and adds their information to the appointment.
  9. If necessary, use the Patient box to select the patient.
    Note: When you select a patient, ezyVet could show a Found Recent Consult pop-up window. ezyVet shows the Found Recent Consult pop-up window if it finds one other appointment in a specified period that has the same patient and that has a clinical record. You can use the pop-up window to quickly and easily make a relation between the clinical record of the other appointment and the new appointment.

    A practice manager configures ezyVet with the information that it uses to make a decision about when to show the pop-up window.

  10. In the Reason for appointment box, enter information about why the appointment is necessary.

  11. If necessary, use the Presenting Problem box to select a presenting problem.

  12. In the Clinical Description box, enter applicable clinical information about the patient.

  13. Select Save & Close.

    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:
