Note: A practice manager can use the Requires a reason to cancel setting to configure appointment types. The setting can make it mandatory for staff to record why they cancel an appointment of that type. The appointment in this video has an appointment type with Requires a reason to cancel set to YES. Thus, the video includes information about the Reason To Disable/Cancel dialog box. If an appointment type has Requires a reason to cancel set to NO, the dialog box does not show when you cancel appointments of that type. If you cancel an appointment that has an appointment type with Requires a reason to cancel set to NO, a confirmation pop-up window shows:
