About the conversion of complete documents

In Cornerstone, you can make enhanced medical notes and correspondence documents. You can show these documents from the patient clipboard in Cornerstone. The data conversion process can convert completed documents to ezyVet as a rich text format (RTF) file only. After the data conversion process is complete, you can use the Attachment tab to show a patient's documents and attachments.

After you use a document template to make an enhanced medical note or a correspondence document, Cornerstone saves the documents as an RTF file. You can preview the document with the text editor in Cornerstone:

The data conversion process automatically attaches the documents to applicable clinical records and the patient record. However, after the data conversion process is completed, you cannot use ezyVet to preview the documents. ezyVet does not have a feature to open RTF files.
Note: To show the attachments of a record, select the Attachments tab:The Attachment tab
IDEXX customer support recommends that you use a word editor to open the RTF files (for example, Microsoft Word). If you use a different application to open the RTF file, it is difficult to read the file:

Tip: IDEXX customer support recommends that a practice manager configures your devices to automatically use a word editor to open RTF files.
