ezyVet performance troubleshooting

To find the causes of a performance problem in your ezyVet site, it is important to carefully do each applicable troubleshooting procedure. If you do each troubleshooting procedure, you can correct the performance problem in a shorter time.

ezyVet performance problems could have could have one cause or could have many causes. And some of the causes could also have no relation to ezyVet. For example, antivirus apps have no relation to ezyVet. But an antivirus app that has an incorrect configuration can cause an ezyVet performance problem. (A device that has a problem with its hard drive is one more example of a cause that has no relation to ezyVet.)

Note: Make sure that you do the troubleshooting procedures before you speak to ezyVet customer support.
Note: To quickly know about other problems that could cause a performance problem with your ezyVet site, refer to status.idexxsoftware.com.

Your antivirus app causes interference with ezyVet or interference with Google Chrome

Make sure that your antivirus app has the correct configuration

Configure your antivirus app to stop scans of the address of your ezyVet site. If the performance problems stop after you configure the antivirus app, the app is the possible cause.

Note: For information about how to disable extensions, refer to Google Chrome has an extension that causes a performance problem.

Temporarily disable the full antivirus app. If the performance problems stop after you disable the antivirus app, the app is the possible cause.

Your network does not have sufficient performance

Do checks of your network

Use a different network. For example, if the device uses a Wi-Fi, connection, change to an Ethernet connection or a mobile hotspot. If the performance is good, the initial network is the possible cause of the problem.

Do a check of the ezyVet system requirements. If necessary, upgrade your network.

  • Automated reports
  • Automated tagging tasks
  • Automated reminders

Configure the automated tasks to start at a different time

An automated task that starts at times when there is less staff work helps prevent performance problems. For example, configure the automated task to start during the night or start after business hours.

Note: It is best to configure ezyVet to make the reminders during the night or not in business hours. But ezyVet can send the reminders during business hours and it will not cause a performance problem.
