Configuration of client contact records

Change the names of many client contact records

You can use the Records dashboard tab to decrease the time necessary to change the names of client contact records.

  • Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions
  • Make sure that you know the function of the settings for name changes
    Note: For more information about the settings, refer to About changes to names of many client contact records
To change the names of many client records, do this procedure.
  1. Select Dashboard.

  2. Select Records.

    ezyVet shows the Records screen.
  3. Set Record Type to Contact.

  4. If necessary, set applicable filters that ezyVet uses to show the records.

  5. Select Show Records.

  6. Select the applicable records.
  7. In the Perform Action section, select All or Selected.

    Note: To change all records of the search results, select All. To change only the records that you select, select Selected.
  8. In the Action list, select Contact - Clean Names.

  9. Select Action.

    ezyVet shows the Clean Names dialog box.
  10. Use the information given in About changes to names of many client contact records to make the necessary settings.
    Note: It is not mandatory to make the settings. If necessary, you can keep the boxes empty and continue to the next step.
  11. Select Confirm.

    ezyVet shows one more dialog box that has a preview of the changes.
  12. Do a check of the changes.
    Note: During this step, you can enter more changes. This example image shows two records that have an incorrect * character in the name. You can enter the correct information in the New Last Name boxes:

  13. Select Clean.
