Remove a tag from a record (system settings method)

To remove a tag from a record, a person with the applicable user account permissions can remove the tag from the record directly. Or a practice manager can use ezyVet's system settings to remove the tag.

To remove a tag from a record, do this procedure.
Note: This procedure uses a contact record as an example.
Note: The screen that shows in step 6 of this procedure has a REMOVE ALL TAGS button:

If you select REMOVE ALL TAGS, ezyVet permanently removes the applicable tag from all records at the same time. And to add the tag back again, you must find each record and manually add the tag. Thus, use the button carefully.

  1. Select Admin.

  2. In the settings list, select Tags.

  3. Select Tag Category.

    ezyVet shows the configured tag categories of your site.
  4. Find and select the applicable tag category.
    ezyVet shows the settings of the tag category. The Tag Names section shows the tags of the tag category.
  5. Double-click the entry that has the applicable tag name.

    ezyVet shows a record tab that has a Tags section. The Tags section shows the records that have the tag set.
  6. Select the red cross button that is adjacent to the applicable record.

  7. Select Disable.

Tip: To add the tag to the record again, select the arrow button that is adjacent to the applicable record:
