About record tags
A tag is a short item of text that you use to identify an ezyVet record. The tag usually gives information about the type of record or its properties. A tag is usually a maximum of three words.
You usually set one tag on many records that have the same property that the tag identifies. For example, if your organization has many feline patients with arthritis, you can make a tag that has the text Feline arthritis. Then, you can set the tag on the applicable patient records. Or if your organization has corporate clients, you can set a Corporate clients tag on the applicable contact records.
Tip: A tag is a type of metadata. Metadata is information about information.
You can use tags to:
- Quickly and easily find many records
- Quickly and easily change the information of many records at the same time
- Automatically calculate discounts or surcharges of invoice line items with a price adjustment rule
- Get accurate information from ezyVet reports
- Receive automatic reminders
