Header templates and footer templates are templates that you can add to other applicable template types. Use a header template or a footer template when you want to show the same content at the top or bottom of content that uses an applicable template type.

Header and footer templates for document templates

When you add a header template or a footer template to a document template, you can select different header or footer templates for:

• The first page of documents
• The last page of documents
• The pages between the first page and last page

For example, you can configure the header or footer templates of a document template for financial statements to show:

• The applicable client postal addresses and your organization logo at the top of the first page
• An account summary and remittance slip at the bottom of the last page
• Your organization name and logo at the top of the other pages

Setting	Function
Header (first page)	Use Header (first page) to select a header template that shows at top of only the first page of the document.
Header (second page onwards)	Use Header (second page onwards) to select a header template that shows at the top of the second page of the document and all remaining pages before the last page.
Footer (last page)	Use Footer (last page) to select a footer template that shows at the bottom of only the last page of the document.
Footer (all pages except last)	Use Footer (all pages except last) to select a footer template that shows at the bottom of all pages before the last page of the document.
