About template variables
A template variable is a temporary location for a value that shows in an ezyVet document.
You can use a template variable to easily and automatically put information from your ezyVet site in a document.
For example, an ezyVet site usually has information about client invoices. The information includes the name of a client for a given invoice. ezyVet has a default set of invoice document templates. Staff use the document templates to make printed invoices for clients. You can use a template variable to automatically put the client name in the printed invoice. It is not necessary to manually enter the client name of each invoice.
If the source data of the template variable changes, the template variable automatically shows the correct information in the document. It is not necessary to manually change the information in the document. For example, you can use a template variable to put the applicable client name in a printed invoice. If the client of the invoice changes, the variable automatically shows the correct name in the invoice. It is not necessary to manually change the client name in the invoice.
