Vello text messaging
Vello includes a full text messaging system that you can can use to quickly and easily send text messages to clients. Text messages that clients send to your practice show directly in Vello.
The Vello inbox

The Vello inbox uses a conversation view to show client messages. A conversation is a group of all messages between you and one client. Conversations make it easy to quickly find all messages between you and a client.
A conversation view for a client shows a Mark as Done button. Use Mark as Done to sync client messages to the applicable client contact record in ezyVet. You can also select which patient records of the client to sync the messages to. After Vello completes the message sync, Vello removes the messages for the applicable from view and puts them in the done view.
After a client uses the Vello client portal to make an appointment request, Vello automatically sends a message that tells you about the appointment request. Appointment request messages show in the Vello inbox.
Quick replies for text messages
A quick reply is a type of message template for Vello text messages. Use a quick reply to quickly and easily send text messages to clients. The content of a quick reply is usually a message that staff send again and again.
Configured quick reply shows an example of a quick reply that a practice manager made for a dental check. Available quick reply shows the same quick reply that is available to you to select in a text message with a client.
Unsubscribed clients
A client can unsubscribe from text messages that you send from Vello. If a client is unsubscribed and you try to write them a text message, Vello shows this message:
This phone number has unsubscribed to your text messaging service. In order to reengage with your practice, they (the client) will need to send a text message of 'Start.
