Configure the Medication Prescription dialog box to show Serial Number boxes
A practice manager can configure the Medication Prescription dialog box to show Serial Number boxes. As a result, when staff prescribe a medication, they can record the serial number of a serialized prescription pad.
Note: Not all states make it mandatory to include serial numbers of serialized prescription pads in controlled drug reporting. To make sure that you include mandatory information in your reporting, do a check of your state's regulations.
Note: You cannot make the Serial Number box mandatory.
- Select Admin.
- In the settings list, select Settings.
- Select System.ezyVet shows a System Settings screen.
- Select Clinical.
- Select Serial Number field shows on prescription.
- Select Save.ezyVet shows a confirmation message:
Note: A staff member cannot record the same serial number again and again. If the staff member tries to enter the same serial number again, ezyVet shows an error message.
Note: A Serial Number box can have a maximum of eight characters.
