Configure the Medication Prescription dialog box to show the Days Supply box
A practice manager can configure the Medication Prescription dialog box to show the Days Supply box. As a result, when staff prescribe a medication, they can record the period that they dispensed the medication for.
Note: You cannot make it mandatory for staff to use the Days Supply box. If staff do not use the Days Supply box, the days' Supply (DSP10) column of the Controlled Drug report has no data. As a result, you must manually enter the quantity of days each controlled drug was supplied for in each medication record, and do the Controlled Drug again. Thus, it is important to tell staff to make sure that they use the Days Supply box.
Note: To help make sure that staff use the Days Supply box, make a standard operating procedure.
- Select Admin.
- In the settings list, select Settings.
- Select System.ezyVet shows the System Settings screen.
- Select Clinical.
- Select Days supply field shows on prescription.
