General steps to use ezyVet SSO

It is important to know the general steps to complete before you can use ezyVet single sign-on.

This table gives information about each step and applicable documentation:

1A practice manager:
  • Makes sure that they know how ezyVet SSO operates
  • Knows which ezyVet work tasks will change as a result of SSO
About ezyVet single sign-on (SSO)

Changes to general tasks that single sign-on (SSO) causes

2A practice manager speaks to their IT team to make sure that their organization:
  1. Uses an identity provider that is compatible with ezyVet SSO
  2. Has domain accounts for all staff that want to sign in to ezyVet
ezyVet SSO configuration: Information for IT teams
3A practice manager makes ezyVet user accounts for each person that wants to sign in to ezyVet with SSO.
Note: Each ezyVet user account must have the same username as the username of each related domain account.
Note: ezyVet SSO only controls sign-in to ezyVet. SSO does not control access to ezyVet features and functions. To make sure that access to feature and function is correct, a practice manager must make sure that each ezyVet user account:
  • Has applicable user account permissions
  • Has an applicable permissions role
Make a user account for a new staff member
4A practice manager speaks to ezyVet customer support and tells them to enable the SSO module for ezyVet.Not applicable.
