About ezyVet single sign-on (SSO)
ezyVet single sign-on (SSO) makes it easy for persons to sign in to ezyVet with standard usernames and passwords. The standard usernames and passwords use the domain accounts of an organization. A domain account is a computer network account that an organization makes available for persons to use with an SSO system.
If an organization uses SSO for sign-in to other apps, persons can use the same SSO system to sign in to ezyVet. As a result, sign-in is easy because it is not necessary for persons to remember and use a different username and password for ezyVet sign-in.
ezyVet SSO and automatic sign-in
Sign-in to ezyVet with SSO is usually automatic. Thus, it is usually not necessary for a person to enter the username and password of their domain account for ezyVet sign-in. The automatic sign-in is a result of an SSO token. An SSO token is a type of data that makes automatic sign-in possible. Automatic sign-in as a result of an SSO token occurs after a person manually signs in to a system that uses SSO. For example, if initial sign-in to a person's computer uses SSO, then automatic sign-in to ezyVet usually occurs.
If a person's SSO token is expired, automatic sign-in to ezyVet does not occur. As a result, when a person goes to an ezyVet site address, their web browser does a redirect to a sign-in screen. After the person uses the sign-in screen to enter the username and password of their domain account, automatic sign-in to ezyVet becomes possible.
