Lock a clinical record

After you lock a clinical record, persons cannot make changes to it. And they cannot make changes to records that have a relation to the locked clinical record.

  • Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions
  • Make sure that the record is not in the clinical record lockdown period
To lock a clinical record, do this procedure.
  1. Select Clinical.

  2. Find and select the applicable clinical record.
  3. Select Unlocked.

    Note: If the button does not show Unlocked but does show Locked, the clinical record is locked.
    Trouble: If you cannot see the button, you do not have the necessary permissions. Speak to your practice manager.
The record is locked.
