Memos of overdue diagnostic results

An overdue diagnostic result is a diagnostic result that ezyVet did not receive in a specified period. ezyVet can automatically send you a memo when a diagnostic test result or a diagnostic imaging result is overdue.

A practice manager can configure the overdue period. For example, a practice manager can configure ezyVet to send a memo if ezyVet did not receive a diagnostic test result in 24 hours.
Note: If a diagnostic result is more than 90 days overdue, ezyVet does not send a memo.
The applicable system setting that a practice manager uses to configure the overdue period is Overdue Interval:
The Overdue Interval setting
The available settings of the Overdue Interval setting are:
  • None (overdue memos off)
  • 24 hours
  • 48 hours
  • 1 week
Note: If a practice manager sets Overdue Interval to None (overdue memos off), does not send memos for overdue diagnostic results.
ezyVet does this procedure to know when to send a memo for an overdue diagnostic result:
  1. ezyVet makes sure that a diagnostic test request or a diagnostic imaging request does not have a related diagnostic result
  2. ezyVet records the initial date and time of the applicable diagnostic test request or the diagnostic imaging request
  3. ezyVet compares the time of (2) with the time that a practice manager configured with the Overdue Interval setting
  4. If the time of (2) is more than time of (3), ezyVet sends a memo
Note: The Overdue Interval setting also has a related Enable Urgency setting. Do not use the Enable Urgency setting. It does not have a function.
