Make a patient record

After you make a client contact record, you can make patient records for each patient of the client.

To make a patient record, do this procedure.
  1. Select the plus button that is adjacent to the Dashboard primary tab, then select New Patient.
    The New Patient setting
ezyVet shows a New Patient screen.
Tip: As an alternative, use the Alt + P keyboard shortcut.
  2. In the Owner box, select the applicable client contact record.
  3. In the Patient Name box, enter the patient name.
  4. If applicable, use the Microchip Number box to enter the patient microchip number.
  5. Use the Weight box and Units setting to enter the patient weight.
  6. In the Date of Birth box, enter the patient's date of birth.
Note: If you are not sure about the date of birth, you can select Estimated.
  7. Use the Sex settings to select the patient sex.
  8. In the Species box, select the patient species.
  9. In the Breed box, select the patient breed.
  10. In the Animal Notes box, enter general information about the patient.
Note: If the information is important, select Notes Important.
  11. Select Save.
    The Save button
    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

ezyVet has the patient record. And:
  • ezyVet automatically makes a code for the patient record and puts it in the Code box of the patient record
  • The patient record shows more settings and boxes that you can use to add more information
  • ezyVet makes a relation between the patient record and the client contact record that you selected in step 2
Add a patient image to the new patient record.
