To correctly use e-claims with insurance integrations, patient records must have the correct supplier contact record of the applicable insurance integration. And they must have the correct insurance policy number.

1. Select Patients.
   
2. Find and select the applicable patient record.
   ezyVet shows the settings of the patient record.
3. In the Other Details section, use the Insurance Supplier box to the select the supplier contact record.
   
4. In the Insurance Number box, enter the number of the applicable insurance policy.
   
5. Select Save.
   
   ezyVet shows a confirmation message:
   
   

The patient record has the insurance information. The clinical record sidebar of the patient's clinical records shows Insured:

Note: The clinical record sidebar shows Insured if a patient record has an insurance policy number. It is not necessary to select a supplier contact record of an insurance company for the sidebar to show Insured.

Note: After you select Save, ezyVet tries to send the insurance policy number to an applicable insurance company. ezyVet uses configured insurance integrations that is has to know which insurance company to use. When the insurance company receives the policy number, they do a check. If the insurance company cannot find the policy number, they send information back to ezyVet directly.
