Configure an automated report that shows controlled drugs that staff dispensed

A practice manager can configure an automated report that shows controlled drugs that staff dispensed. The PMP Clearinghouse integration uses the automated report to automatically upload the report output to PMP Clearinghouse.

  • Make sure that you have the Controlled Drug report permissions
  • Make sure that a practice manager configured your organization's pharmacy information
  • Make sure that a practice manager configured the applicable medication product records as controlled drugs
  • Make sure that a practice manager added Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration numbers to the user accounts of applicable staff members
To configure an automated report, do this procedure.
  1. Select Reporting.

  2. In the settings list, select Inventory.

  3. Select Controlled Drug.

    ezyVet shows the report settings.
  4. Select Schedule Report.

    ezyVet shows a New Scheduled Report screen.
  5. Set Automatically Run to YES.

  6. Select the ezyVet user account that ezyVet uses to do the report as.
  7. Use the Next Run boxes to select the date and time that ezyVet automatically does the report.
  8. Set Repeat Method as necessary.

    This table gives each Repeat Method setting and its function:
    SettingFunction
    RepeatingUse Repeating to set the frequency of the report to days, weeks, months, or years.
    Last Day of MonthIf you set Repeat Method to Last Day of Month, the report automatically starts on the last day of the month.
  9. If necessary, set Send Email to YES and enter an applicable email address.

    Note: If you set Send Email to YES, ezyVet sends a copy of the completed report to the email address.
  10. If necessary, set Memo User to YES and select an applicable staff user account.
    Note: If you set Memo User to YES, ezyVet sends a memo to the user account after ezyVet completes the report.
  11. To select the report date range, use the the From box and the To box.

  12. If necessary, use the Days Supply more than or equal to box to enter the applicable number of days.

    If you want the report to only show the controlled drugs that you dispensed for a patient owner to take home for more than 2 days, enter 2.
  13. If necessary, use the Products With Tag box to select an applicable product tag.

  14. Use the setting that shows in the Version section to select the applicable version of the report.

    Note: If you select an American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP) version for the report, ezyVet automatically selects DAT file format for the report output:
  15. Select Save.

    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

ezyVet has the automated report.
