About billing triggers in Vet Radar

A billing trigger is an ezyVet feature that automatically makes an invoice and adds the necessary products to it during an applicable treatment task. Vet Radar uses billing triggers to send invoice data to the Pertinent History section of a patient's clinical record in ezyVet.

Billing triggers of a treatment

When you add a treatment to a patient sheet, Vet Radar shows the settings for the treatment. The settings include the Send billing to EzyVet setting. To sync the invoice data with ezyVet, you must make sure that the Send billing to EzyVet setting is enabled:

The Send billing to EzyVet setting

If the Send billing to EzyVet setting is disabled when you add the treatment to the patient sheet, Vet Radar disables the setting for the treatment's scheduled tasks. You can enable the Send billing to EzyVet setting for a scheduled treatment task if necessary.

Vet Radar identifies a treatment that has a billing trigger with a green triangle. Vet Radar adds the green triangle to the corner of the treatment in the patient sheet.

Note: If a treatment does not have a green triangle, the treatment does not have a billing trigger. Vet Radar cannot sync the invoice data to ezyVet for the applicable treatment.

Billing triggers of a medication

When you add a medication to a patient sheet, Vet Radar shows the medication settings. The settings include the Qty billed per task box. Use the Qty billed per task box to enter the quantity to invoice the client for each scheduled task.
Note: Vet Radar automatically enters the Total volume in the Qty billed per task box. You can change the value if necessary (for example, if you want to invoice the treatment for each vial, not for each milliliter).

Billing triggers of a treatment's scheduled treatment task

When you select a scheduled treatment task, Vet Radar shows the treatment's task pane. The task pane shows a Value box. Use the Value box to enter the necessary quantity to invoice the client.
Note: You must use a number if you want to enter a value (for example, you must enter 2 as an alternative to two). If you enter text (for example, your initials) in the Value box, Vet Radar syncs a value of 1 to ezyVet and shows the text in the patient sheet.
The treatment's task pane also shows the Send billing to EzyVet setting. To sync the invoice data with ezyVet, you must make sure that the Send billing to EzyVet setting is enabled.

Once you start or complete the treatment task, Vet Radar changes the treatment task in the patient sheet. Vet Radar changes the box to a green color, and Vet Radar shows the applicable information from the Value box. Vet Radar also shows if the treatment task has a billing trigger with a green triangle.
Note: If necessary, you can change the quantity that ezyVet invoices the client for the applicable treatment task. You can select the treatment task and change the value in the Value box (for example, you can change the value from 1 to 10 and Vet Radar syncs the changed invoice data to ezyVet.

Where Vet Radar syncs the invoice data to in ezyVet

Vet Radar syncs all invoice data to the Pertinent History record of the patient's clinical record.

After Vet Radar syncs the invoice data to the Pertinent History record of the patient's clinical record, ezyVet puts the invoice data in the client's invoice.
Note: Vet Radar syncs the invoice data to the Pertinent History record, even if the practice manager has changed the name of the Pertinent History record.
