Business units and departments in Vet Radar

If your organization uses a department configuration or a business unit configuration in ezyVet, ezyVet syncs the configuration to Vet Radar. When you sync a clinical record to Vet Radar, ezyVet syncs the department of the clinical record to Vet Radar. Vet Radar shows the department of the clinical record in the Consultation department box of the patient sheet.

After you sync a clinical record to Vet Radar, Vet Radar automatically sets the Attending department setting of a patient sheet to Same as consultation department. If the Attending department is set to Same as consultation department, Vet Radar automatically changes the department of the patient sheet if you change the department of the clinical record in ezyVet. For example, if you change the department from Small animals to Accident and emergency in ezyVet, ezyVet automatically syncs the change to Vet Radar. As a result:
  • It is not necessary to change the department of the patient sheet in Vet Radar
  • Your organization has more accurate inventory records
  • Your client’s invoice records are more accurate
Note: You cannot change a patient sheet to a department of a different business unit. If a patient must go to a department of a different business unit, you must make one more patient sheet.
