An external refill reason is an ezyVet record that gives information about why an external dispense or pharmacy prescription is necessary. A practice manager makes the external refill reasons that staff can select when they do an external dispense or make prescriptions.

1. Select Admin.
   
2. In the settings list, select Clinical.
   
3. Select External Refill Reason.
   
   ezyVet shows the New External Refill Reason screen.
4. In the Name box, enter a name for the external refill reason.
   

   Tip: Enter a good name that helps staff to easily know why the external dispense or pharmacy prescription is necessary.
5. In the Description box, enter general information as necessary.
6. Select Save.
