Automatic minimum quantities for invoiced products

A practice manager can use ezyVet's Sell Units settings to configure the minimum product quantities that ezyVet can automatically set in an invoice. The Sell Units settings helps to make sure that staff invoice the correct product quantities (for example, medications and vaccinations).

The Sell Units settings show in a product's configuration:
The Sell Units settings
Note: The Low setting and the High setting are applicable to estimates only. The other settings are applicable to invoices.
This table gives each setting and its function:
Setting nameFunction
InitialUse Initial to set the minimum quantity that ezyVet invoices for the applicable products.
Note: For example, if you enter an Initial value of 2, ezyVet always invoices a minimum quantity of two of the product.
MinimumUse Minimum to control how ezyVet could automatically increase the product quantity when staff invoice the product.
Note: Example:
  1. You enter a Minimum value of 5
  2. You invoice a quantity of four of the product
Result: ezyVet automatically changes the invoiced quantity of product to five.
Note: For example, Callisto Vets has a vaccination that staff sell in a 4 ml vial. A staff member does a vaccination for a patient and uses 2 ml of the 4 ml vial. But the practice manager wants to invoice the full 4 ml of the vial. The practice manager wants to invoice the full 4 ml because staff cannot use the remaining 2 ml for other patient vaccinations. Thus, the practice manager enters a Minimum value of 4.
DefaultUse Default to set the product quantity that ezyVet automatically sets when staff add the product to an invoice or to a clinical record.
Tip: Set Default to the quantity that staff would usually invoice for the product.
