About Know Your Customer (KYC) verification

Know Your Customer (KYC) verification is to make sure that organization information is correct and accurate. The verification helps to prevent spam and fraud that could occur when you send and receive SMS messages.

A practice manager can start and complete the procedure for Know Your Customer verification directly in ezyVet. The information that a practice manager gives during the procedure includes:
  • The company registered name of your organization
  • The company registration number of your organization
  • Your organization address
  • Information about an authorized representative for your organization

Know Your Customer verification is only necessary for ezyVet sites that are in the United Kingdom. The verification is necessary for each ezyVet site.

Important: After you complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for an ezyVet site, the site receives a new phone number from the applicable SMS provider. The new phone number replaces the initial phone number that the site used for SMS messages. Thus, before you do KYC verification, it is important to tell your customers about the phone number change. For example, you could tell your customers that they will receive SMS messages from a different phone number.
