When you make a planning guide, you can set a related appointment type. When a staff member makes an appointment in a
calendar area that has the planning guide, the appointment automatically uses the appointment type. Thus, it is not necessary to manually change the appointment to the
correct appointment type each time.
Note: The appointment types that are available for planning guides are the same as those that are available for appointments.
Planning guides example shows a calendar that is in appointment mode. The calendar
shows three planning guides. Each planning guide shows these different appointment
types:
Consult New Client (15 Mins)
Consult Extended (30 Mins)
Meeting

Planning guide appointment shows the result of an appointment that a person made in an area of the calendar that
had the planning guide. To make the appointment, the person selected an area that showed
Consult New Client (15 Mins). As a result, the new
appointment automatically uses the Consult New Client (15 Mins)
