Planning guides

Make a planning guide

After you make a planning guide, other staff can easily know the available appointment times for a calendar.

Make sure that your user account has the necessary permissions.
To make a planning guide, do this procedure.
  1. Select Dashboard.
    The Dashboard tab
  2. Select the applicable calendar.

  3. In the calendar controls, select Edit Mode: Planning Guides.

    Trouble: If you cannot see the calendar controls, select the gear button:

  4. Select the applicable area in the calendar.
    ezyVet shows the New Planning Guide screen.
  5. In the Appointment Type box, select the applicable appointment type.

  6. If necessary, use the People/Resources Used box to select a different calendar that ezyVet uses for the planning guide.

  7. In the Calendar Planning Guide Details box, enter information about why the planning guide is necessary.

    Note: Planning guide entries in the calendar show the information that you enter in the Calendar Planning Guide Details box.Thus, use good information that makes it easy to know why the planning guide is necessary.
    Note: If the Calendar Planning Guide Details box is empty, the planning guide entry in the calendar shows the name of the appointment type that you selected in step 5.
  8. If necessary, use the settings of the Times & Recurrence section to configure the planning guide as a recurring planning guide.

  9. Select Save & Close.

    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

The calendar has the planning guide. The planning guide shows the information that you entered in step 7:
