The calendar screen has buttons, icons, and functions that help you to make and see appointments quickly and easily.

The image and table that follow give areas and features of the calendar screen:

1	The date selection area. Use the date selection area: To quickly go to a day, month, or year To change the calendar view mode
2	The calendar controls. Use the calendar controls to change the calendar mode and change how the calendar shows information. For example, you can: Change the calendar interval Tell the calendar to show weekends Zoom in or zoom out the calendar
3	The calendar selection area. The calendar selection area shows the calendars that are available for you to make appointments in. To use a calendar, select its name. Note: Each calendar has a related calendar resource that a practice manager configures.
4	A calendar appointment. Calendar appointments can show different colors and icons. The appointment colors identify different appointment types. The appointment icons identify appointment statuses and other information.
5	The calendar shortcut menu. Use the calendar shortcut menu to quickly and easily get access to many commands and functions directly from a calendar appointment.
