Periods of a continuous rate of infusion (CRI) treatment task

When you make a continuous rate of infusion (CRI) treatment for a patient, you can configure the period of the CRI treatment task. Vet Radar shows the period of the CRI treatment task on the patient sheet.

Vet Radar has a Continuous duration setting. When you make a CRI treatment, Vet Radar automatically enables the Continuous duration setting. When Vet Radar enables the setting, Vet Radar does not stop the CRI treatment until you discharge the patient.

If necessary, you can disable the Continuous duration setting. If you disable the Continuous duration setting, you can select the applicable days, hours and minutes of the treatment task:

How Vet Radar shows the period of a CRI treatment task on a patient sheet

Use the patient sheet to select the time of the treatment. To identify the time that you selected, Vet Radar shows two blue circles connected with a blue line on the patient sheet:
Example of a scheduled IV infusion treatment

The first blue circle identifies the start of the treatment task. The last blue circle identifies the end of the treatment task. When you start or complete the treatment task Vet Radar shows a full blue circle.

If you enable the Continuous duration setting, Vet Radar does not show the last blue circle:

Note: You can change the period of a treatment task before you add the treatment. Or you can change the period of a treatment task after you add the treatment.
