Make an intravenous (IV) infusion task for a diluted additive treatment

You can make an intravenous (IV) infusion task to show other staff when the diluted additive treatment is scheduled to occur.

To make an IV infusion task, do this procedure.
  1. Go to the patient whiteboard.
  2. Select the applicable patient card.
    Vet Radar shows the patient sheets.
  3. Use the arrows of the patient sheet control to select the applicable patient sheet.

  4. Select + Add Treatment.

    Vet Radar shows the Add Treatment pane.
  5. Select IV Infusion.

    Vet Radar shows the IV infusion settings.
  6. Find each applicable product and select + ADD.

    Vet Radar changes the button to ✓ ADDED:

  7. Select Add medication.

    Vet Radar shows the Add Medication pane.
  8. Select the applicable additive.
    Vet Radar shows the applicable medication pane.
  9. Enable Dilute medication.

  10. In the Dose rate* box, enter the dose rate of the medication.

    Note: As an alternative, you can enter:
    • The infusion rate in the Infusion rate box
    • The dosage rate in the Dosage rate box
    Vet Radar calculates the value for the infusion rate and enters the value in the Infusion rate box.
  11. In the Diluted concentration box, enter the diluted concentration value.

    Note: As an alternation, you can enter:
    • The medication volume, in the Medication volume* box
  12. In the Final volume* box, enter the final volume.

  13. Make the remaining settings as necessary.
  14. Select Add to Sheet.

    Vet Radar shows a confirmation message.
    The ✓ Treatment added successfully confirmation message
    Trouble: If Vet Radar shows the infusionRate Total: This is a required field error message, the treatment does not have a concentration set in ezyVet.
