Disable a species record

If a species is not necessary to use with patient records, a practice manager can disable the species record.

Make sure that patient records do not use the species. If you disable a species record that patient records use, problems with other ezyVet functions can occur. A disabled species record shows [I] before the species name:

Note: To prevent the problems that a disabled species record could cause, you can merge a species record.
To disable a species, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.

  2. In the settings list, select Patients.

  3. Select Species.

    ezyVet shows the configured species records of your site.
  4. Find and select the applicable species record.
    ezyVet shows the settings of the species record.
  5. Select Disable.

  6. Select Disable.
