Communication records

A communication record is a record of a message that you used ezyVet to make or send. For example, after you use ezyVet to send an email, ezyVet makes and keeps a communication record of the email. Communication records help make sure that your organization has records of which clients you send messages to and the message information.

Communication records are applicable to messages that you send from ezyVet. But communication records are also applicable to messages that you make in ezyVet but do not send. For example, ezyVet has phone templates that you can use to record the information of a client phone call. To record the information, you make a communication record for the phone call and select the phone template. As a result, ezyVet keeps a record of the phone call with information about it.

Access to communication records

You can get access to communication records in many areas of the ezyVet user interface. For example, patient records have a Communication tab that you can use to find and show all communication records for a patient. Clinical records have a Communication tab that has the same function.

To open a communication record entry in an ezyVet screen, double-click the entry:The applicable callback message

The Communication dashboard tab gives an easy method to quickly find communication records with one screen. These are examples of searches that you can do with the tab:
  • Find all communication records for a department
  • Find all communication records that have a communication record status of Pending
  • Find all communication records of a client
