Use a record sidebar to quickly and easily see the most important information about an record. And you can use it to quickly and easily get access to other related records and information.
A record sidebar always shows on the left of the screen. And the record sidebar always shows in all screens of the primary record type. For example, when you select the tabs of a patient record, ezyVet always shows the patient record sidebar. And when you change to a clinical record and select its tabs, ezyVet always shows the clinical record sidebar.

Different types of record sidebar show some of the same information. For example, the patient record sidebar and clinical record sidebar show these same types of information:
As a result, it is not necessary to change to a different record to find the most important information. For example, because the clinical record sidebar always shows the patient name, it is not necessary to find the patient record to get the name.
Access to related information and related records
Many areas of a record sidebar have relations to other features and functions of your site. And when you select an applicable area or button in the sidebar, ezyVet shows the related feature or function. For example, if you double-click the Patient section of a clinical record sidebar, ezyVet opens the patient record in a record tab. Or if you double-click the Owner section of a patient record sidebar, ezyVet opens the contact record of the owner.Figure 1. Example record relations between record sidebars
The relations between different features and functions means that you can use record sidebars to quickly and easily get access to important information.
