About module blocking

A practice manager can use module blocking to prevent access to different sections and features of ezyVet. For example, they can use module blocking to make sure that some staff members cannot access the Financial primary tab. Or they can use module blocking to remove all kiosk features of ezyVet.

A practice manager can configure module blocking for:
  • An ezyVet role
  • A person

Module blocking for a permissions role

If a practice manager configures module blocking for a permissions role, the blocking is applicable to all staff members who have the role. As a result, the practice manager can easily configure module blocking for many staff members at the same time.

It is necessary for an organization to make sure that veterinary students cannot access ezyVet's Financial primary tab.
The practice manager:
  1. Makes a Student role that has the necessary permissions
  2. Makes sure that all veterinary students have the Student role
  3. Goes to the module blocking screen of ezyVet and blocks the Financial module for the Student role

As a result, when a veterinary student signs in to ezyVet, they cannot get access to the Financial primary tab.

Module blocking for a person

If a practice manager configures module blocking for a person, the blocking is applicable only to the person.
Important: Module blocking that a practice manager configures for an ezyVet permissions role overrides the module blocking of a person who has the same role.
