About the quantity of product labels that ezyVet can automatically print

You can configure ezyVet to automatically print many product labels at the same time for an invoice that has the applicable products. The configuration is a good method to use for large animal clinics that sell a product packaged as a set of boxes.

A product's configuration settings have a Default Label Qty box and a Fixed Number? setting:
The Default Label Qty box and the Fixed Number? setting

ezyVet uses the value that you enter in the Default Label Qty box to calculate the number of labels to automatically print for invoices that have the product.

If you set Fixed Number? to Yes, ezyVet always prints the number of labels that you entered in the Default Label Qty.

If you set Fixed Number? to No, ezyVet uses the number of products invoiced to multiply the quantity that you entered in the Default Label Qty box.

Callisto Vets has boxes of worming treatment for sale. Each box contains 12 bottles. When Callisto Vets makes one sale of the worming treatment, it is necessary to print 12 product labels for the invoice.
The practice manager:
  1. Gets access to the settings of the treatment product.
  2. Enters 12 in the Default Label Qty box.
  3. Sets Fixed Number? to No.
As a result, when Callisto Vets sells two boxes of the treatment, ezyVet automatically prints 24 product labels for the invoice.
Callisto Vets sells ten boxes of flea collars. Each box contains five flea collars. But it is only necessary to print one product label for the invoice that has the flea collar boxes.

The practice manager configures the product to print only one label for each invoice that has the flea collars. To do the configuration, the practice manager uses the Default Label Qty box and the Fixed Number setting.
