About client callbacks

A client callback is a phone call that a staff member usually makes to a client after clinical work for a patient (for example, a surgical operation).

General steps for client callbacks

This table gives the general steps for how to configure and use client callbacks:

  • Do client callbacks
  • Schedule client callbacks for other staff
  • Do checks of scheduled callbacks and complete them.

Information that you can enter for a client callback

To do a client callback, select the Callback button:

ezyVet shows the Callback button in the screens of:
  • Clinical records
  • Patient records
  • Contact records
After you select Callback, ezyVet shows a New Client Communication dialog box. Use the dialog box to enter callback information.

This table gives the primary boxes of the New Client Communication dialog box and their function:
BoxFunction
Date and TimeUse the Date and Time box to select the date and time of the callback. The boxes automatically show the date and time that a staff member selected the Callback button. If necessary, you can select a different date and time.
Assigned Staff MemberUse the Assigned Staff Member box to select the staff member who makes the phone call. The Assigned Staff Member box automatically shows the staff member who selected the Callback button. If necessary, you can select a different staff member.
Reason/CommunicatesUse the Reason/Communicates box to give why the callback is necessary.
Phone NumberThe Phone Number box automatically shows the client's phone number. If necessary, you can change the phone number.
TemplateUse the Template box to select the phone template for the callback.
CommunicationThe Communication box shows the content of the phone template that you use the Template box to select.

After you save the settings of the New Client Communication dialog box, ezyVet makes a communication record. The communication record is a record of the client callback. ezyVet shows the communication record in the applicable clinical record, patient record, or contact record. If necessary, you can open the communication record and make changes to its information.

Calendar appointments and callbacks

If you open the calendar shortcut menu for a calendar appointment, the menu shows a Communication > Schedule Callback command:

Use the Communication > Schedule Callback command to quickly and easily make a communication record for a callback.
