Boarding resources

A practice manager uses ezyVet boarding resources to make bookable systems for their organization’s boarding facilities.

Boarding resources operate with the ezyVet’s Boarding module. If the module is configured for your ezyVet site, ezyVet shows the Boarding dashboard tab:

Boarding resources and billing triggersCopy

A boarding resource uses ezyVet’s billing triggers. As a result, ezyVet automatically adds the necessary invoice information when you make a booking for your boarding facility.

You can also set an interval for the billing trigger. The interval automatically controls the invoicing during the patient boarding.

Physical areas of boarding facilitiesCopy

A boarding resource could have many related physical areas. For example, a shelter boarding resource could have many cages. A practice manager can configure each cage as a bookable resource.

Boarding resource example shows the Boarding Availability section of a configured boarding resource. Each row of the section shows one physical area of the boarding resource. Each physical area is a kennel.

In the Boarding dashboard tab, the applicable boarding calendar shows each kennel of the boarding resource as a dedicated row:

Boarding resources and patient speciesCopy

A practice manager can configure a boarding resource to use a dedicated species. As a result, only the dedicated species can use the related boarding facility. For example, if your organization has a shelter for cats only, set the species of the boarding resource to Feline (Cat).
