Make a clinical template

After a practice manager makes a clinical template, staff can select and use it to record clinical information in clinical records.

The content of a clinical template usually uses shorthand text and picklists. Make sure that you know the function of shorthand text and picklists.
To make the template, do this procedure.
  1. Select Admin.
    The Admin tab
  2. In the settings list, select Templates.
The Templates setting in the settings list
  3. Select Clinical Templates.
    The Clinical Templates setting
ezyVet shows a New Template screen.
  4. In the Template Name box, enter a name.
Tip: Enter a name that helps staff to easily know the clinical work that the template is applicable to. For example, enter Physical exam or Dental examination.
  5. Use the For settings to select the record types that staff can use with the clinical template.
    The For settings
ExampleIf you want to make the clinical template available for clinical procedures, select For Therapeutics / Procedures.
  6. In the Plaintext box, enter template content as necessary.
ExampleContent that you could enter for an equine dental examination:BSC: #INPUT#/9 Weight: #INPUT# Coat Condition: #INPUT# Last dental date: #INPUT#
  7. Select Save.
    The Save button
    ezyVet shows a confirmation message:

ezyVet has the clinical template.
Tip: Go to a clinical record and do tests of the clinical template to make sure that it operates correctly.
