Content that you can add to a standard operating procedure

You can add images, text, and video to a standard operating procedure. The tools and settings that you use to add images and text are almost the same as the tools and settings that ezyVet has for its document templates.

Editor tool and settings of a standard operating procedure
You can use three methods to add an image to a standard operating procedure:
  • Drag method
  • Copy and paste method
  • URL box method

Drag method for images

To use the drag method, drag the image from your device to the applicable location in the content of the standard operating procedure:

Note: The drag method is the easiest method to add images to a standard operating procedure.

Copy and paste method for images

To use the copy and paste method:
  1. Open the image in an image app
  2. Select the image and copy it to your device's clipboard (for example, select Ctrl + A then select Ctrl + C)
  3. Paste the image from your device's clipbboard directly into the applicable location in the content of the standard operating procedure

URL box method for images

To use the URL box method, select the image button that is on the editor of the standard operating procedure. Then, use the URL box that ezyVet shows to enter the web address of the image:

Note: The URL box method is applicable if the image that you want to use:
  • Is available from a web server
  • Is available as a shared link from a cloud storage product (for example, Dropbox or OneDrive)

Standard operating procedures and videos

You can add videos to a standard operating procedure. As a result, other staff can see the video directly in the document.

To add a video, use the embed code of the video. The embed code is a special code that a video streaming company can make available for a video. The embed code makes it easy to put the video directly in a web page.

YouTube and Vimeo are two examples of video streaming companies. For more information about how to get the embed codes for videos of each company, refer to:
This is an example of an embed code for a YouTube video:
<iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PfwSBPW5VJg" title="YouTube video player" width="560"></iframe>
Note: You cannot add video files directly to a standard operating procedure. You must use the embed code of the video. If necessary, speak to your IT staff or refer to the embed code documentation of the applicable video streaming company.
