Notes of a patient record

An ezyVet patient record can have dedicated notes information. Use notes to enter general information about the record that staff can easily refer to.

Enter patient notes in the Animal Notes box of the Details tab of a patient record:

Important: For security, do not enter card information in the Animal Notes box (for example, a card number or CVV).

The Notes Important setting

Adjacent to the Animal Notes box, patient records have a Notes Important setting:

If you select Notes Important, the Animal Notes box shows a red color after you save the record:

Notes that you set to Notes Important show in the pop-up windows that usually show when you hover over an applicable area of a record. For example, this image shows a note in the pop-up window that shows when you hover over a calendar appointment for the applicable patient:

  • The patient's clinical records
  • The New Appointment screen after you select the applicable patient

The {AnimalNotes} template variable

To show the notes of a patient record in a document, you can use the {AnimalNotes} template variable.
