Product search in ezyVet Scan

If a product record in ezyVet does not have a barcode configured, you cannot use ezyVet Scan to scan the product. But you can use ezyVet Scan to find the product.

After you find the product, you can manually add the product that you find to an inventory transfer or inventory count.

To find a product, select the search button that shows in the inventory input screen. After you select the search button, ezyVet Scan shows a Product Search screen.

To find products, you can enter:
  • Product names
  • Product codes
When you enter numbers and letters during the search, ezyVet Scan shows products that have the numbers and letters that you enter. For example, if you enter Band as a search word, search results show products with Band in the name:

If a product in a search screen does not have a barcode configured in the related ezyVet product record, ezyVet Scan shows NA adjacent to the barcode icon:

Batched products in search results

Search results of the Product Search screen could include batched products (for example, vaccinations). If you find a product that is in a batch, the Product Search screen:
  • Shows all of the product's available batches
  • Shows each batch number
  • Shows the expiration date of each batch
